October to December 2011
I consider it such a priviledge to be able to compete in this wonderful hobby of Dog Showing. However, all good things must come to an end. It's now holiday time due to no more local shows available for this year.
Time for the Pom Poms to just be dogs and get down and dirty outside, go swimming, dig holes, eat bones and enjoy themselves free-range running and playing.
Looking back over this year it hasn’t been an easy road with my hitting rock bottom a couple of times, having experienced a run of bad luck with Pomeranians, I came close to giving all of this up!
I now know why this breed is referred to as “The Heartbreaker” breed. Having gone through many lows with my Poms, I was just getting back to normal when my husband, John, had to undergo a triple by-pass, open heart operation. This happened while we were on holidays, away from home, and took us both by utter surprise! Of course it turned my world upside down with repercussions that have lasted for most of this year. My Poms were my solace when times got tough throughout John’s ordeal.
Happily John has been given a clean bill of health at his 6 monthly review last week and life is back on track.
My good fortune has been obtaining Zeigen Brazen & Amazing to campaign. She is a beauty, who has stolen my heart! I plan to make the most of my show days next year and enjoy them and my family as they happen.
With only 4 weeks to go until Christmas so, the Poms and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Stay Safe during the holiday season and please check back here in January 2012 for more news then.
The Tooshay Pom Poms are in the Chrissy Spirit!!

and the adopted Pom....TOOK TOOK!

September 2011
September brings my show year to its completion due to the tropical weather setting in, it's too hot to show Pomeranians to their best advantage. Not to mention the annual monsoonal summer storms commence to bring bad weather and flooding across the State. After our awful expereince back in January this year in the Toowoomba mini Tsunami, I am well and truely over bad weather.
It's been a thrilling and very rewarding year of showing for me with our last competition held in Prospepine, Far North Queensland. Zeigen Brazen and Amazing and Cupidtown Gold'n Chance's last show for 2011.
Zen was awarded Best Baby Puppy in SHOW X 3 Shows - a hat trick! Fantastic results.
I consider it such a priviledge to be able to compete in this wonderful hobby of Dog Showing.
My dogs have done me proud this year, with their results correct at the time of publication - on 30/09/11.
Finishing in the TOP 10 within the breed scores, nationally. A super result considering that CH. Cupidtown Gold'n Chance only competed for 6 months of the 12 month competition.
Pip's results are: National Best Of Breed, Pip ranked 9th; and in the National Breed Leader comp, Pip ranked 10th.

.
Pearl...Tooshay Miss Showgirl ranked 11th in the breed results for Rising Star, nationally
Another big feat .....with Little Zen.. Zeigen Brazen and Amazing ranking 5th in the breeds National Rising Star competition.
A magnificent result for this wonder girl considering Zen only competed for 12 weeks in the 12 month competition. My many thanks to her owner/breeder, Mrs Kim Haddon for allowing this "breath of life" into my home.
Zen and I look forward to a bright and even better season in 2012.

A very exciting month for Tooshay. Lots happening, lets start with.... Great start to this month with Pip "Cupidtown Goldn Chance" winning Best Intermediate in SHOW today, also Reserve in Group and Best of Breed and little Zen "Zeigen Brazen & Amazing" taking out Best Baby Puppy in Group at the Mt Morgan and Bouldercombe Kennel Club show.
NEWS FLASH...
Zen wins BABY PUPPY IN SHOW at the Darwin Royal held on 23rd July 2011.

Taryn, Zen and Dr Harry at the Darwin Royal!
Introducing a new addition to the show ring, many thanks to Kim Haddon. This is "Zeigen Brazen and Amazing" known as ...ZEN pictured here at 9 weeks old.

I am thrilled with this little beauty, her extrovert "out there" "show off" nature, coupled with her exquisite head, short back/good conformation and huge coat, hopefully ensures her being noticed in the ring. I am sure I will have a lot of fun with little one.
Zen will make her début at the Darwin Royal on 22nd July, along with other Championship shows being held in Darwin later that month.
Very happy and exitied to be be staying with good friends, Greg and Gladys and visiting family while in Darwin. It will be so nice to catch up with everyone, as a lot has happened over the past 14 years. I'm sure I won't recognise the now grown up children that were only 3-9 years olds when we left the Territory. All in all, looking forward to a very exciting and happy month!
Please go to the separate menu tab/heading called "Darwin Trip - July 2011" for all the many photos of this trip away to the Northern Territory. I hope you enjoy them.

Good new s......
Pipster, "Cupidtown Gold N Chance" won Runner up in Show today at Rockhampton Kennel Club under judge Miss C Stuart of NSW. This makes it Pip's 3rd Best In Group win of 25 points.
My sincere thanks to Miss Stuart, my daughter Angela (his handler) and my sister Trina for making this possible.
Such wonderful news in light of all that's happening in my personal world right now. My husband has just undergone open heart surgery for a triple by-pass while we were attending shows in Townsville over Easter. This came as a huge shock to both of us and happened without any prior warnings. Luckily, we were already In Townsville as only Brisbane and Townsville hospitals carry out this type of surgery.
Meanwhile, Pearl "Tooshay Miss Showgirl" also won Bitch Challenge and her class.
Pip and Pearl stressing themselves out at a recent show...NOT! Love my Pomeranians.

Feb - April 2011
Show Update: 30/4/11 Pipster "Cupidtown Gold N Chance" won Best of Breed and Intermediate In Group at the Cap Coast Kennel Club under judge Mrs K Eldred of NSW. Many thanks to Pip's supporters for your well wishes. While Pearl "Tooshay Miss Showgirl" won Bitch Challenge and her class. Wonderful news as I'm here in Townsville for another 2 weeks.
22/4/11 - I have had an unexpected emergency this Easter weekend with my husband, John being rushed off to hospital here in Townsville on Easter Friday morning. John is currently in the Townsville Base Hospital being treated by Australia's #2 Cardiac Specialist in the Cardiac Care ICI unit while John is awaiting open heart surgery (to do a triple by-pass) later this week. I am staying in Townsville until John is able to travel and thank all my friends and family for their support and well wishes during this awfully stressful time. Needless to say, this will greatly affect our immediate show plans. I'll post an update as things progress.
Show Results :
Tooshay has had very limited show opportunities this year by both Pearl and Pipster. Tooshay's latest show are from Townsville at Woodstock show grounds over the Easter Holidays.
-
Tooshay Miss Showgirl was awarded her class, Bitch Challenge and Reserve of Breed on Sunday. Her ring presence is improving each time she's competing; and
-
Cupidtown Gold n Chance won Best of Breed and Intermediate in Group. However, Pip was eliminated for his class in show by the Best In Show winner (who also came out of the Intermediate class).
Finch Hatton (near Mackay). Finch Hatton is also close to the Eungella National Forrest with dense Rainforrest covered valleys , crystal clear running streams and many species of native birds. A really beautiful place.
- Pearl (Tooshay Miss Showgirl) took out Bitch Challenge and Runner Up Best of Breed on Sunday; and
- Pipster (Cupidtown Gold n Chance) taking out an eleven point Best of Breed and Intermediate in Group on both Saturday and Sunday.
It was a nice, enjoyable weekend away with good company, beautiful surroundings and cool, dry weather.
I wish to thank Noeline and Nev on adopting Armani a.k.a. 'Arnie' into their home.
This has made my job (to let Armani go into a pet home) a lot easier by my knowing he is treasured, in a safe, loving environment, has a play mate (Rosy) and that Noeline will keep in touch and send regular updates and photos.
I'm sure that Rosy and Arnie will become best of buddies and be good company for each other. Another good thing is that you both will now now have a Pom each to take out for walks on the beach each evening.
My sincere thanks to you both.
January 2011
This year opens with a huge FLOOD in Queensland - See my photo album of how we were affected by the largest flood seen in 20 years! Luckily our home wasn't inundated but my neighbour was. Their home went under water to its roof. We endured some 3 weeks of peak flooding with many poisonous snakes making their way up to our home, which happens to be the only hill for kilometres, along with other various creepy crawlies. My Poms spent two weeks inside the house, rather than risk any incidents with the stranded wildlife temporarily sheltering here also.
On the show scene, young TOOSHAY MISS SHOWGIRL did us very proud by making her debut in Sydney. PEARL handled the flights, showing and "strange new places" in her stride, without fuss. PEARL also went on to win BEST OF BREED, 3 times, in her next 3 shows, beating adult dogs for this award. This result is beyond our expectations for a young bitch of 7 months old.
DogzOnLine Rising Star Competition
January 2011 Leader

Tooshay Miss Showgirl
Miyu Jenni Lee also made her show comeback, being placed first as Oz Bred In Group! We are confident that Jenni Lee will have a wonderful show year; she is a beautiful bitch and is fully matured now. What a thrilling start to 2011 for Tooshay!
